This is a copy of a PowerPoint presentation that was given to the Business Law section by Mr. Remo De Sordi.  The presentation begins with a brief overview of what due diligence is and what its goals are.  It then details who should be subject to due diligence and where it should be conducted.  It proceeds to detail the key components of cost effective due diligence.  Finally, the presentation gives details on many types of due diligence searches including Corporate Searches, Minute Book Audits, Corporate Capital Tax, Canada Revenue Agency, etc.

Summary of Recent Developments in Employment and Labour Law in Manitoba - Tracey Epp

 

This outline of recent developments in the field of labour and employment law in Manitoba was presented at the 2006 MBA Mid Winter conference by Tracey Epp.

 

Mrs. Epp reviewed updates on the Federal and Provincial Employment Standards, amendments to The Workers’ Compensation Act of Manitoba and summarized the recommendations of the Legislative Review Committee adopted into the amendment. Mrs. Epp concluded with an examination of key labour cases from 2001-2004.
