The Internet Stress Coach

LPAC and the Canadian Bar Association invite our members to Get Stress Hardy.

What is the Interactive Internet Stress Coach?

LPAC has teamed up with practicePRO to offer you the Internet Stress Coach and the “Getting Stress Hardy” modules of practicePRO’s Online Coaching Centre. Developed with the guidance of LPAC and the Ontario Bar Assistance Program, all 23 of the included modules are offered free of charge.

Balance and a healthy work environment are essential to a successful law practice. Today, lawyers often face long hours, heavy work loads, relentless deadlines, and a hostile practice environment, which, all combined, produce stressful lives! So, taking steps to better cope with stress is necessary to stay on top of your practice.

What is "Getting Stress Hardy"?

Managing stress is not about taking a deep breath, taking a walk or reading a funny story. Managing stress is about reacting smarter in stressful environments.

"Getting Stress Hardy," The Internet Stress Coach, is a skill-building coaching program designed to help lawyers learn how to deal more effectively with stress -- well before a crisis hits. Stress is a fact of life and LPAC wants you to learn how to better manage it.

"Getting Stress Hardy" will offer strategies on how to better handle stressful situations. And it will enable you to set personal and professional goals, allowing you to take greater control of your life.

This program will be offered as a series of 30-minute modules. So, take the time to get 'stress hardy' and have a happier, healthier approach to life.

Stress Hardy: Achieving The 4 P's of Stress Management

Stress Management is quickly becoming a necessity of life. With the right tools and skills, stress hardiness can be a reality along with increased:

  • Productivity
  • Performance
  • Personal Prosperity

With the "Getting Stress Hardy" program, lawyers will be better equipped to manage stress effectively for life.

How does "Getting Stress Hardy" work?

"Getting Stress Hardy" is a simple system that has been designed to be completely confidential.

Each workshop is broken down into a series of modules. To help lawyers pinpoint which modules would be most useful, the online coaching centre includes a series of self-assessments, corresponding to each topic. These assessments will allow you to work through a specific workshop in several different ways, thereby customizing your own self-coaching program.

Users are asked to set aside 30 minutes to complete a module of their choice. As you complete each module, you will develop a personal action plan to help gain control and deal more effectively with stressful situations, ultimately preventing the harmful effect of stress build-up.

practicePRO provides lawyers with a variety of tools and resources, in both print and electronic formats, designed to help your practice grow and thrive.

practicePRO’s Online Coaching Centre addresses many issues, including stress, poor communication, time management and lawyer/client relationship skills. Organized into 6 workshops, the program helps to enhance a variety of skills that are important to a healthy practice and a satisfying life.
