 he 2011 Victoria Law Day Open House was held from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm on April 16, 2011 at the Victoria Courthouse at 850 Burdett Avenue. The following events and activities were held:
- A mock trial for Harry Potter
- Police K-9 unit demonstrations
- A Community Forum: Q & A on the Changing Face of Law
- Tours of sheriff’s vehicles
- Tour of court cells
- The Provincial Mock Trial Competition
- Resource tables and information
- Passport to Justice (Treasure Hunt with door prizes and give-a-aways)
- Police presentation on ecstasy

Victoria Law Day Flyer
On Saturday, April 16, 2011, the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association held its province-wide "Dial-A-Lawyer" event as part of Law Week. In 2011, volunteer lawyers assisted 373 people in five different areas of law including: family, tort/MVA, immigration, criminal, and wills and estates. Victoria area residents were invited to call and speak with a lawyer for up to 15 minutes at no cost.
