n Saturday, April 17, 2010, the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association held its province-wide "Dial-A-Lawyer" event as part of Law Week. Members of the public were invited to call between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to speak with a lawyer for up to 15 minutes at no cost. In 2010, 25 volunteer lawyers assisted 216 people in five different areas of law including: family, tort/MVA, immigration, criminal, and wills and estates.
