 Allan Rock, Canada's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, delivered the opening plenary. Ambassador Rock discussed the always-evolving role of the UN, events that have threatened its legitimacy, the crossroads at which it now finds itself, and why Canada believes now is the time for change.
 TV news anchor for CBC News flagship early evening newscast Canada Now, Ian Hanomansing delivered the keynote address at the Closing Lunch.
