Resolutions and By-laws Committee
|
Purpose
- To review and critique all resolutions to be presented Council.
- To ensure that the Branch By-laws accurately reflect the current operations of the Branch.
- To ensure that Branch activities comply with the Branch and CBA By-laws.
Method
- By setting the procedure and criteria for the presentation of resolutions to Council
- By reviewing all resolutions and providing comments on all resolutions prior to their presentation to Council.
- By reviewing the Branch By-laws from time to time, and in any case, no less frequently than bi-annually, to ensure they accurately reflect the current operations of the Branch.
- By making recommendations for amendments to the Branch By-laws as may be required.
- By drawing to the attention of Council, the Executive Committee or the Executive Director, as the circumstances may dictate, any failure to comply with the By-laws.
