Mandate

• To support members in their professional development by advising and recommending to the Branch programs, events, materials and resources that will be useful;
• To monitor and recommend to the Branch the nature of resources including services available which would assist members in meeting their professional development requirements;
• To advise and make recommendations to the Executive Committee and Council with respect to professional development support provided by the CBA BC Branch and other organizations including the Law Society of British Columbia and the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia; and
• To monitor the implementation of, changes to, and oversight of the professional development requirements of the Law Society of British Columbia, and make recommendations and submissions to the Executive Committee of the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch regarding the impact of such requirements on members.
