Jody Wilson was re-elected commissioner in March 2007 to a third term by the First Nations Summit. Raised in the Comox Valley, Jody is a member of the We Wai Kai First Nation of the Laich-Kwil-Tach K'omoks Council of Chiefs. Prior to this post, Jody worked for nine months as an advisor at the BC Treaty Commission and two years as a Provincial Crown Prosecutor. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia (1999) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Victoria (1996) and has been an active member of the BC Bar since 2000. Jody sits on the Board of Directors for the National Centre for First Nation Governance and the Minerva Foundation for BC Women.
