What’s New with the Succession Law Tables of Concordance?

  • August 23, 2019

September 1st will mark a new year for the CBA Wills, Estates and Trusts (WET) Section. What’s new?

Succession Law — Cross-Jurisdictional Table Now in French!

While the Section’s 2018 updates to the Succession Law Tables of Concordance are expected later this fall, please note that the most recent Cross-Jurisdictional Table is now available in French. We are pleased to increase access to our French-speaking members as this table provides a comprehensive comparison of various succession law rules applicable in the Canadian provinces and territories.

Nunavut volunteer needed: Do you or someone you know practise in Nunavut? If so, please get in touch as the Section needs assistance to update Nunavut’s Succession Law Table (last updated in 2016).

Want to Contribute?

We encourage you to get involved in the WET Section’s initiatives. Here are some ways you can participate today:

  • Join the Section’s LinkedIn group and further the discussion.
  • Get published (open access): We encourage Section members to contribute member articles (1,000 words or less) on current and relevant issues of interest. Email us!

You do not need to be an Executive Committee member to contribute to the Section. Have an idea for the Section to consider? Contact us!
