Get Involved!

  • November 01, 2018

Welcome to another CBA year with the Wills, Estates and Trusts (WET) Section, Canada’s leading association of lawyers practising in the areas of wills, estates and trusts. The WET Section is a valuable tool for any wills, estates and trusts practitioner’s tool box. Check out our website and find out who is on the 2018-2019 national executive.

With our extended reach, we provide information on a national scope, giving members access to a broader perspective and the laws of different jurisdictions. Some of our offerings include resources, recent submissions and resolutions and member articles. We invite you to view our updated Succession Law Tables of Concordance, including the Cross-Jurisdictional Table, which provides a comprehensive comparison of the various rules applicable in the Canadian provinces and territories in respect of matters concerning the various forms of wills, powers of attorney, and trusts for the disabled, to name a few.

These are the ways you can get involved with your Section today:

  • The CBA WET Section executive now includes up to 10 member-at-large positions. We have 6 vacancies so please email us if you’re interested in joining!
  • Join the Section’s LinkedIn network.
  • Get published – Members can submit relevant and current articles on issues related to the law and practice in the areas of wills, trusts and estates (1,000 words or less).

You do not need to be an executive committee member to contribute to the Section. Have an idea for the Section to consider? Want to get more involved? Contact us!

We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
CBA Wills, Estates and Trusts Section
