The CBA Aboriginal Law Section examines issues, laws and national trends related to the law and the practice of Aboriginal law. Our mandate includes:
- Federal and provincial legislation relating to Aboriginal peoples
- Aboriginal and treaty rights, including land claims
- Constitutional reform
- Administration of justice
- Traditional Aboriginal law
- Other related matters
We liaise regularly with the Indigenous Bar Association and Department of Justice Canada.
