The CBA Aboriginal Law Section examines issues, laws and national trends related to the law and the practice of Aboriginal law. Our mandate includes:

• Federal and provincial legislation relating to Aboriginal peoples
• Aboriginal and treaty rights, including land claims
• Constitutional reform
• Administration of justice
• Traditional Aboriginal law
• Other related matters

We liaise regularly with the Indigenous Bar Association and Department of Justice Canada.
