We’re bringing the CBA to you on more channels than ever. There’s always cba.org, of course, for everything you need to know, but whichever social media platform best suits your style, chances are you’ll be able to find us there in both official languages:
Instagram – @CanadianBarAssociation is our newest social media channel, aimed at law students and young lawyers, who will be a big part of keeping it current and interesting. It will be behind the scenes at CBA events, and we invite members to share what’s happening in their communities around the country.
Podcasts – This fall the CBA has opened a new podcast channel called The Every Lawyer. There will be a series of podcasts aimed specifically at young lawyers and law students, another aimed at small and sole practitioners, and CBA President Ray Adlington will even have his own series called Conversations with the President, all about diversity and inclusivity. The Every Lawyer is available wherever you get your podcasts.
Twitter - @CBA_News has been tearing up the Twitterverse for nearly a decade, live-tweeting CBA events, providing information about upcoming CBA conferences and professional development offerings, and every morning we post a roundup of legal news stories. But it’s not all business, we retweet interesting news items and you can also check out regular updates of #StoriesWeLove, #MotivationalMonday, #WackyWednesdayLaws, and #Onthisdate for a bit of legal history.
We also have @CBANatMag, the Twitter handle of CBA National Magazine, which tweets about legal news and trends.
Facebook – Check out The Canadian Bar Association on Facebook to find out about events and awards and other news you can use. Do a search on Facebook to see if your branch or other CBA group has its own Facebook page.
And don’t forget the Do Law Differently Facebook site. It’s a closed group aimed at law students and young lawyers.
LinkedIn – We’re also on LinkedIn. Follow us therefor legal industry insights, career opportunities, and more!
