he 2009 Kelowna Law Day was held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Kelowna Courthouse, 1355 Water Street, Kelowna.

Kelowna Law Day "free" events included the following:

• Grade 3 poster contest
• Elementary school students mock trial
• Lawyers were available to answer questions in various areas of law
• Community booths and information
• Immigration ceremony
• Police and fire department demonstrations
• Courthouse tours
• And many more exciting events!

On Saturday, April 25, 2009, the Canadian Bar Association British Columbia Branch held its province-wide “Dial-A-Lawyer” as part of Law Week. Kelowna area residents were invited to call 1.800.663.1919 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to speak with a lawyer for up to 15 minutes at no cost.
