  n Saturday, April 25, 2009, the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch held its province-wide “Dial-A-Lawyer” as part of Law Week. Residents in British Columbia were invited to call between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to speak with a lawyer for up to 15 minutes at no cost. In 2009, 29 volunteer lawyers assisted 185 people in five different areas of law including: family, tort/MVA, immigration, criminal, and wills and estates.
