Fort St John - April 16, 2008
Fort St John's mock trial was held at 7:30 pm before a packed courtroom. The Honourable Judge Rita Bowry, only recently appointed as a Provincial Court Judge, discovered an hour before the event that it was to be a jury trial so she had to quickly prepare her first charge to a jury! While the jury deliberated on the final decision, she fielded questions from the public. The accused, a high school shop teacher, was found not guilty of assaulting the student in question.

Kamloops - April 23, 2008
The Kamloops mock trial for the "Big Bad Wolf" was held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Kamloops Courthouse at 455 Columbia Street. The high profile trial attracted a large crowd and generated immense public interest. The defendant, Big Bad Wolf, was acquitted of all charges. The trial was followed by a question and answer session with the judge where members of the public had an opportunity to ask questions about the justice system. Nanaimo - April 12, 2008
The Honourable Judge Saunders of the Provincial Court of British Columbia presided over a mock trial of the “Three Little Pigs,” which was presented by a group of Nanaimo lawyers. Students served as jurors. The "Three Little Pigs" were acquitted of all charges. The mock trial took place at the Nanaimo courthouse at 35 Front Street.

New Westminster - April 15, 2008
The mock trial of Regina v Peter Pan was held from 11:15 am to 12:00 pm at the New Westminster Law Courts. Students from Lord Tweedsmuir Elementary School performed in the roles of the witnesses and the defendant. The defendant was acquitted of all charges. After the mock trial, court room personnel gave an interactive court orientation on their roles along with a Q&A session.

Port Coquitlam - April 17, 2008
The mock trial was held from 11:15 am to 12:00 pm at the Port Coquitlam Law Courts. The roles of the witnesses and the defendant were performed by students from Maillard Middle School. The defendant was acquitted of all charges. After the mock trial, court room personnel gave an interactive court orientation on their roles along with a Q&A session.

Vancouver - April 17, 2008
On April 17, 2008, a French mock trial and an English mock trial were held at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The Honourable Mr Justice Kelleher of the Supreme Court of British Columbia presided over the French trial of Jack and the Beanstalk. The Honourable Derek Gillis, Retired Judge of the Provincial Court of British Columbia presided over the English trial.
Pierre Gagnon, a French speaking lawyer with the Ministry of Attorney General, was in attendance to answer questions students and spectators had about the practice of law.
The French trial was held from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in room 301. Jack Jones, a poor boy who lives with his mother, was tried for theft of harp, theft of hen, and break and enter. Jack Jones was acquitted of all charges. French immersion students from Lord Tennyson Elementary performed in the roles of witnesses and the defendant, Jack Jones. Teacher Suzanne LaPierre accompanied students from Lord Tennyson Elementary.
The English trial was held from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in room 302. Law 12 students from Eric Hamber Secondary performed in the roles of witnesses and defendant. Teacher David Nicks accompanied students from Eric Hamber Secondary. The defendant was acquitted of all charges.

Victoria - April 19, 2008
On April 19, 2008, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm a mock trial was held for Harry Potter. The defendant, Harry Potter, was acquitted of all charges.
