Mandate
We are lawyers from across Canada who practise entirely or substantially in areas of law relating to local government.
The National Municipal Section serves as a co-ordination and communications focus for issues of common interest to lawyers practising in the many areas which touch on the work of municipalities throughout the country.
If you are a member of the Municipal Section of any CBA Provincial Branch, you are automatically a member of the National Municipal Section.
The National Section Officers are elected for a period of two years and announced at one of our annual business meetings, typically held in conjunction with the National Annual Meeting of the CBA.
Chair of the National Municipal Section for the term 2006-2008 is Bruce Noble, Q.C. of Fredericton, NB.
