![]() Grant Borbridge,Vice President Investments and General Counsel Emergo Group of Companies Grant Borbridge is Vice President Investments and General Counsel of the Emergo Group of Companies, which is a global private equity investment group. In his position, Grant is a member of the Group’s Investment Committee that oversees the analysis and management of the global investment portfolio and is also co-leader of the Group’s Transactions Team. In addition Mr. Borbridge coordinates and oversees the Group companies’ legal activities. Mr. Borbridge has a BA from the University of Alberta (1986) and an LLB from Dalhousie University (1989) and worked in private practice for over nine years as a corporate and securities lawyer in Calgary, Alberta. His practice focused on clients in the oil & gas services sector and in the technology sector and included acting on a wide variety of transactions both domestically and internationally, including public offerings of debt and equity, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and providing advice to public and private corporation Boards of Directors. After completion of the Pennsylvania State MBA (2000) program with a finance concentration, Grant joined the energy team of a New Jersey based asset management and private equity fund. In 2001 he moved to Prudential Securities/Prudential Equity Group, Inc.) in New York and San Francisco, where until 2004 he was a Vice President and the Equity Analyst responsible for the Oil & Gas Services & Equipment sector. Grant has worked on transactions and projects in Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. |
