Language and Minority Rights in the International Arena * *** This program has been approved for 4 hours of recognized Professional Development by the Barreau du Québec Monday, August 17 (please note, this program is from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm) The 40th anniversary of Canada’s Official Languages Act is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the achievements of this piece of legislation and to reflect on the language rights and policies of Ireland, our host country, of Wales and of Scotland, of the provinces and territories of Canada, as well as of other nations around the globe.
