The 40th anniversary of Canada’s Official Languages Act is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the achievements of this piece of legislation and to reflect on the language rights and policies of Ireland, our host country, of Wales and of Scotland, of the provinces and territories of Canada, as well as of other nations around the globe. Renowned speakers will share their expertise and explain how language rights play an essential role in maintaining peace and justice in the world.
