12:30 p.m. – Meet and greet at Conrad Hotel in the Iveagh room with interactive games, activities and snacks

Dublinia1:00 p.m. – Departure by coach for Dublinia & Viking World.

Dublinia & The Viking World is a heritage centre, located in central Dublin, at the heart of the medieval city.  The exhibitions at Dublinia explore life in the medieval city and the world of the Vikings and are housed in a beautiful neo- Gothic Victorian building, the former Synod Hall of the Church of Ireland.

3:30 p.m. – Arrive at Conrad by coach and parents to pick up children

8:00 p.m. – Riverdance concert with parents at Gaiety Theatre

Monday August 17, 2009

Children to have breakfast with parents at respective hotel.

8:45 a.m. – Meet at the Conrad Hotel in the Iveagh room

9:00 a.m. – Departure by coach or train for Wicklow Town along a very scenic route to experience Ireland like it was 100 years ago.

9:45 a.m. – Visit Wicklow Jail

WicklowExperience life in the Wicklow Jail and Dungeon as it was in the early 1700s. The interpretative design relates the history of the Gaol (jail) through the eyes of its inmates. Key periods covered the 1798 Rebellion, the Famine, Life in Gaol during the 18th and 19th Centuries and Transportation to the Penal Colonies of Australia. The exhibition uses a unique combination of audio-visual material, interactive displays, reconstruction and drama. Visitors to the Gaol will meet characters from the Gaol's past who bring history vividly to life and involve them in the amazing stories of these turbulent times.

12:00 p.m. – Lunch at Glendalough Hertiage Town & Lakes
Glendalough gets its name from the Irish language. Gleann dá locha literally means the ‘Glen of the two lakes’. Situated right in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, Glendalough is known as the Garden of Ireland and is one of the most visited locations in Ireland.

2:00 - 2:30 p.m. – Arrive at Conrad by coach and parents to pick up children (games and activities will be offered simultaneously until parents arrive)

6:00 p.m. – Meet at Conrad (Iveagh room) for pizza dinner, creative activity such as arts & crafts and movie night. Movie possibilities: Wall-E (2008), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008), Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008).

9:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Parents arrive at Conrad to pick up children

Tuesday August 18, 2009

Children to have breakfast with parents at respective hotel.

9:00 a.m. – Meet at the Conrad Hotel in the Iveagh room

Aravon9:15 a.m. – “A day at Hogwarts”: Departure by coach for Aravon Bray, a Neoclassical-style school similar to the famed Hogwarts school in the Harry Potter tales, for a variety of fun and exciting summer camp activities such baseball, basketball, football, frisbee golf,  swimming, underwater obstacle course, water volleyball, 30 foot slide and forest games such as manhunt and tag

12:00 p.m. – 3 course lunch

2:00 p.m. – Arrive at Conrad by coach and parents to pick up children (games and activities will be offered simultaneously until parents arrive)

7:30 p.m. – Guinness Storehouse with parents (shuttles depart Conrad Hotel at 6:30 p.m. and return starting at 9:30 p.m.)

Dublin Youth Program will be run by Playball Ireland. Playball Ltd is sport coaching for children. They teach children the basics of sport and movement and then introduce them to formalized sport. They teach about 10 000 children Playball every week in Ireland. They also do Birthday parties and run holiday camps. All staff are highly trained and re-trained by means of a workshop system 3 times a year. Staff are also formally vetted. All staff have a first aid certificate. www.playball.ie
