TORONTO – Anne Giardini, President, Weyerhaeuser Company Limited; Susan Wolburgh Jenah, President and Chief Executive Officer, Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC); and Governor James Blanchard, former U.S. Ambassador to Canada are among the featured speakers at the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association (CCCA) National Spring Conference to be held at the Hyatt Regency in Montreal, April 11-13, 2010.

The theme of this year’s conference is Prosper in Your In-House Practice. “Increasingly, corporate counsel are expected to do more with fewer resources, to master a variety of disciplines and play multiple roles within their organizations,” says Silvie Kuppek, CCCA Executive Director.

“The National Spring Conference, which is accredited by the Law Societies of Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and the Northwest Territories for Continuing Education purposes, is designed to assist corporate counsel in building their skill sets to thrive in their roles.”
The CCCA National Spring Conference complements the CCCA Corporate Counsel World Summit to be held from September 26-28, 2010, in Toronto. Together, these initiatives offer a full suite of educational and networking opportunities for the Canadian Corporate Counsel Community.
