- Private practice since 1973 with the exception of one year of articling for the BC Attorney General’s Department (as it then was). Private Practice in Victoria since September 1975.
- Areas dealt with at one time or another include criminal law, foreclosures, plaintiff and defence automobile accident cases, family law, Canada Pension Plan appeals, Workers’ Compensation Appeals, various types of civil litigation at all levels of court in BC, wills, estates, and estate litigation.
- Legal member from May 2005 to May 2008 of a Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal, writing in excess of 150 decisions respecting appeals to that body.

- Author of “Personal Injury damages – 1991 – update, Part 7 – Accident Benefits” 1991. An instructor wrote to me to advise that this paper was used as a teaching tool at UBC law School.
