OTTAWA – The International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) Eminent Jurists Panel on Terrorism, Counter-Terrorism and Human Rights will hold hearings in Canada on April 24 in Toronto and on April 25 in Ottawa.
The two Eminent Jurists on the panel are Robert K. Goldman from the United States and Arthur Chaskalson from South Africa. The hearings include public submissions by interested groups and private meetings with government and other officials on anti-terrorism law in Canada.
The hearings in Toronto take place on April 24, 2007 at Osgoode Hall Law School’s Professional Development Facility, 1 Dundas St. W., Suite 2602, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The hearings in Ottawa on April 25 take place at the Ottawa Congress Centre, Capital Hall 3B, 55 Colonel By Dr., beginning at 8:30 a.m.
