CLE Update Advocacy Conference: Vancouver, November 15 and 16, 2001 Spend two days with more than 60 of the most accomplished litigators from BC and Canada. This conference is a unique opportunity to polish skills and hear valuable advice from a rare gathering of some of the best advocates. The Law Foundation of British Columbia Graduate Fellowships 2002/2003 The Law Foundation of BC awards up to four graduate fellowships of $13,750 each on an annual basis. The next deadline for applications is Monday, January 7, 2002 for the 2002/2003 academic year.
To be eligible, an applicant must be pursuing full-time graduate studies in law or a law-related area at a recognized university in Canada, the United States, or abroad. Applicants must be residents of British Columbia, or graduates of a BC law school, or members of the BC Bar. The Law Foundation Graduate Fellowship is not available for the graduate program at UBC as the Law Foundation makes a separate grant to this program.

Supreme Court of British Columbia Notice to the Profession Distribution of Reserved Written Reasons for Judgement by Email Effective September 10, 2001, reserved Reasons for Judgement released by the Supreme Court Registry in Vancouver are available by e-mail. This option may not be available if the presiding Judge normally sits outside of Vancouver. When counsel or a party is notified that the Judgment has been released, he or she will be given the option of receiving the Judgment via email. Those wishing to receive the Judgment in this format must email their request stating the name of the Judge, the action number, the style of cause and the date of the Judgement.
