Jennifer Spencer is a senior litigation associate at Miller Thomson LLP. She practices corporate-commercial litigation acting on a broad range of commercial matters, in a wide range of sectors including finance, high tech, and agri-business. Jennifer also works in Aboriginal law, including consultation processes, strength of claim analysis, governance issues, and natural resource use for both aboriginal governments and industry. Her practice sees her in all levels of court in British Columbia, the Federal Court, and before administrative tribunals from the Farm Practices Review Board to Coroner's Court. She is particularly fond of judicial review of regulatory decisions.

Jennifer has a masters degree in law and politics in addition from her law degree from the University of Victoria. Throughout the year, she can be found at Advocates Club and chairing the CBA’s Aboriginal Law-Vancouver Section as well as the Standing Committee on Sections, Forums and Conferences. As the Equality and Diversity Representative, Jennifer’s focus is on the retention and advancement of women and minorities in the legal profession. Access to justice and pro bono initiatives are important to Jennifer: she works with Access Pro Bono and serves on the board of the Parkinson's Society of BC. She is also committed to the CBABC's Aboriginal Law Students Scholarship Trust!
