Jennifer Conkie, QC (Vancouver) is a well known and respected feminist lawyer and educator who embodies a complete commitment to human rights and equality. She has appeared at all levels of the court including the Supreme Court of Canada and has often represented community groups on a pro bono basis in discrimination cases. Her firm is committed to ‘compassionate stewardship,’ a value consistent with the types of cases she has taken on. These cases concerned discrimination in many forms, including gender, race, disability and poverty. Many more of her cases have been resolved out of court. She demonstrates the highest level of commitment to advancing equality in the legal profession and in this province.
