Pour former ce groupe de travail, l’ABC a fait appel au plus large éventail possible de ressources – aux cabinets grands ou petits, urbains ou ruraux, ainsi qu’à des avocats spécialisés dans tous les champs de pratique. Le Groupe de travail est présidé par Scott Jolliffe, associé directeur national de Gowling Lafleur Henderson s.r.l. Il comprend aussi des avocats de cabinets nationaux et régionaux de toutes tailles, des clients, un éthicien, une personne-ressource de la Fédération des ordres professionnels de juristes du Canada (FOPJC), l’assureur d’un barreau et un expert réputé dans le domaine pour le conseiller.
